Trevor's Travels In Europe I spent 2 weeks in Hamburg during November 2000 to assist in the transition of the computer system from a locally to globally controlled. It was very cold during that period, but the reception from my colleagues was very warm, as I spent each evening in a different restaurant. During my free weekend rather than staying at the Hotel I spent the weekend in the company of a colleague at his house in a village outside Hamburg, the evening started with a few drinks at his house whilst waiting for his son to arrive home, then off to a local restaurant where one of the locals was celebrating a birthday. Surprisingly the restaurant served Boddingtons so I was happy, then I was merry. |
